Yep
They do not indicate they serve halal, however their vegetarian options are very delicious, hearty and filling. You won't leave feeling half full.
Street pay parking next to them. $1.25 per hour. Not bad.
I don't think they do on weekends for breakfast/brunch, they might on other days.
Menu changes every few months, but its always delicious. As someone else said, 13-19 per dish. Never able to finish! Always lots to take home for leftovers!
Just down the street, 5 minute walk tops
Call, and fine out.
The taste was good, the cooking consistency was laughable. I got the Cinnamon Bun French Toast. The one picture with the cross section is how a properly cooked piece should look. The other is a horribly undercooked piece, the flavour was incredible but chewing through raw dough was not ideal.Service: our server sat us and got us coffee and that was the last we saw of her, another sever took over and was very friendly. Took our order and delivered our meal. We did not receive any more communication since delivery, no checking up, no refills on coffee. Nothing.Maybe it was an off day in both the kitchen and front of house. Who knows. Will probably not visit again.
Amazing food, amazing service, the menu is always unreal. My favourite place in peterborough (which is actually saying a lot! There's so many great places!)
This place is fantastic! It is my favourite restaurant in Peterborough and maybe more. The food is all fantastic, they have great vegetarian options and the desserts are definitely worth a look! (they are behind the bar). The food is original and from what I can tell is almost all made in house, be sure to call ahead and reserve a table as they can get very busy. Definitely worth a detour to try this place!
I stopped in here hoping for a fairly hearty breakfast that might be able to accommodate my gluten and dairy intolerances, and got SO MUCH MORE than I expected! The beef brisket hash was enormous (covering breakfast and lunch!) and incredibly delicious, and was readily adapted to effectively address my dietary limitations. As their gluten-free bread contained butter, they even cooked up a couple of corn cakes just for me to go with it! I had planned some quiet work time in the library after eating, but was instead able to simply enjoy time and excellent coffee in the restaurant's lovely atmosphere until my next appointment.I will definitely visit her again when in Peterborough!
This restaurant truly lives up to it's name- each portion is two dishes. This is a wonderful surprise every time. The sandwiches are superb and beyond anything that I could make at home. The cookies are a true treat. I honestly cannot tell you enough how much I enjoy coming here with ANYONE from out of town.
On Sunday four of us had brunch at the Two Dishes Cookshop. Though this restaurant does not offer reservations on the weekend, any wait is very worthwhile. The food is competently served - Jo was a delight - substantial (be prepared for leftovers to take home), attractively presented and delicious. Pictured are our Mediterranean salad with falafel; deconstructed Benny with mushrooms and goat cheese; and, the Cookshop classic breakfast. All most tasty, and accompanied by very good coffee. [This restaurant has WiFi]
Nice food. Wait staff not that attentive though. Be prepared to wait a while to be seated and served.
Owned by two local sisters who bring personality to both the front of the restaurant and in the back in the kitchen. Tried the green eggs and ham as well as their take on a beef pancake with a spicy coleslaw. The food was great, and I had no complaints. The majority of the ingredients if not all are all locally sourced and homemade. The portion sizes are incredible and you will be full after you finish eating. The menu changes frequently so you need to stop in and get your favourites while they last. The sodas and ketchup are even homemade. The prices are fair and the decorum is simple, clean and modern. A well-rounded place in general.
What a great little gem in Peterborough. Stopped in for lunch with mom as she had an appointment across the street. Home made goodies, dishes and breads. Left there stuffed! The roasted pepper soup was amazing and the olive bread...just WOW! We will definitely be back!
Highly recommend the desserts. Takes a while to pay your bill though! Went recently for brunch on Sunday! Amazing. Would recommend going 20 minutes before opening to avoid a wait. No reservations on weekends. Meals were flavorful and delicious. I see they have improved on my original comment of slow bill payment, they were quick!
Easily one of the best brunches the Electric City has ever served up to me. Worth every second of the wait. Looking forward to returning and trying EVERYTHING! I'll be dreaming about the Irish cream Nanaimo bar for weeks.
Two Dishes has fantastic food! We had the pork loin supper with mashed potatoes, roasted carrots and beets and feta salad. It was fabulous! The food was delicious, plentiful and beautifully prepared! We also had their wonderful coconut cream pie purchased at the market this morning. Thank you!
Food was amazing! Fresh! I had the ham and brie sandwich special and was dissapointed I couldn't eat it all! I was too full. Generous portions. Will return. Wait staff friendly and attentive.
Literally unreal food. I can honestly saw Two Dishes has a food style I've never found anywhere else. So much food for the money, so home cooked yet decadent, and a menu that's always changing. I recommend this place to anyone who loves breakfast.
Really nice people there. Let us in 30 min before closing and were really nice about everything. And the food tasted amazing and the portion sizes were great. Definitely worth a shot
Just had the best broccoli quiche of my life. If you haven't tried something from this restaurant, you are missing out.
Share a dish!! Because they are big but very very tasty. The staff itself was also very nice, and the place is very cute and niche in style but a bit small. The staff was very nice and knowledgable, and the food, even more amazing. Definitely check it out!
Huge portions of delicious combinations of flavour. I don't think you can go wrong with any menu item. Small space so be prepared for a wait at prime time but it's worth it.
Let me start off with saying I never do a review Unless my experience was out of this world amazing!!!! And Two Dishes went above and beyond my expectations! From the atmosphere to the waitress who was patient, kind and absolutely wonderful! The food very fresh, delicious the portions size was perfect. Hats off to the chef’s, they did amazing job picking and planning the menu. Would definitely recommend Two Dishes for everyone!
Seriously amazing Sandwhichs!🤗 Ordered the brown sugar ham n Mac n cheese Sandwhich. The bread was insanely awesome! This dish was mouthwatering! Love, love this place! And what’s with the size of the homemade deserts!😳Thanks so much for the amazing service!
Food was absolutely delicious, service was prompt and professional. Definitely coming back.
Second time visiting Two Dishes Cookshop and blown away all over again. The flavours, the atmosphere, the service, the homemade ketchup.
Was there for breakfast. Coffee was excellent - and they made me a mimosa (with pineapple juice, the BEST). I ordered the beef hash and my friend had a standard bacon and egg breakfast (that was anything but). Tons of food, incredibly tasty... very hearty. The homemade ketchup was terrific. Locally sourced ingredients. Service was warm and friendly. Perfect experience. Looking forward to another visit so I can try the lunch menu and the desserts. Highly recommended!!!
One of my favourite places in town. The portion size is insane, I always get at least two meals out it. The food is fresh, tasty, and just such a treat. You can really taste the quality and homemade touches. I cannot recommend Two Dishes more.
This place is a bit unassuming. The decor matches the menu. Simple yet complex. Food was amazing! I had the brisket breakfast. It came in a bowl and thought it was an interesting version if breakfast. Everything sat on a bed of potatoes. The slab of brisket was in the middle oozing juices below topped with eggs and select veggies and herbs. The meal weighed about 700 grams and I was satisfied. They also had brownies which I took on the road. Will come back next time I'm in the area. Hopefully with friends so we can try more of the menu. I forgot to take more pictures cause it was so good. If you haven't been you're missing out.
This is one of our favourite places in Ontario. Uncomplicated menu, splendid breakfast or lunch meals, using plenty of local vegetables and other ingredients. Those guys can turn even a healthy salad or veggie dip into true feast for your palate. I've tried at least four meals and all of them are so scrumptious! The blonde server was very nice, too.
It’s hard to know what the rather eclectic brunch menu is aiming for with its out of the way items like my sausage gravy and biscuit with fried egg. In this case it didn’t live up to the popular American version of the dish, in fact it was a bit of a mess in a bowl, albeit tasty. My companion’s classic breakfast was better. The place is nice, the service good and the portions are hearty. Lots that’s right here but a better vision with a little less rusticity in the delivery would elevate it to a top notch place.
So perfectly cooked. Huge portions. The most tasty tastes. I was impressed.
